Containers:
Unit Load Devices (ULD)
Air containers are generally called Unit load
devices or ULD and consist of containers and pallets. They are used
within the airline industry to enable operators and customers to load
cargo into airline containers or on airline pallets.
ULD's are basically interchangeable between
the airlines and are widely used to streamline costs in packing and to
enable fast and secure on and off loading of aircraft.
The following information are nominal figures
and differences in measurements are possible.
